Sierra grew up in the country near Diamond Jo Casino. Her family raised dogs for a living. At one time, they housed Basset Hounds for the University of Wisconsin Veterinary Department. Post High School, she attended Cornell College where she received her three Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology, Anthropology, and Archaeology. Archaeology is her passion. She has personally worked on two different dig sites in Southeastern Iowa, looking for remnants of the Paleolithic Era, as well as interned at the Iowa Office of the State Archaeologist. After Cornell, she moved to Duluth where she worked one-on-one with children living in a residential facility as a trauma-informed care counselor at Northwoods Children’s Services. In Duluth she became interested in the dental field, and re-began her schooling for Dental Assisting. She has since fallen in love with the work. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and taking care of her new cat, Worm. Sierra is so happy to be part of the team at Legacy Dental.
