Dr. Lauren Whitehurst grew up in Pensacola, Florida, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State University, Sacramento, where she focused her studies on molecular biology. She went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Before pursuing science, Dr. Whitehurst began her studies as an art major and still carries a deep appreciation for creativity and design. She loves visiting art and science museums whenever she can, and she credits that combination of art and science as what truly drew her to dentistry. She finds joy in transforming smiles and helping patients look and feel their best.
Dr. Whitehurst is an Associate Fellow with the World Clinical Laser Institute and a Fellow of both the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Academy of Implant Prosthodontics. She is also a member of the American Association of Endodontists and a Qualified Dentist through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, recognized by the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
These achievements reflect her dedication to advanced education in restorative, laser, sleep, prosthodontic, and endodontic dentistry, allowing her to provide comprehensive, high-quality care for every patient she serves.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Whitehurst enjoys paddleboarding, traveling, and spending time with her fiancé, Alex, and their pets Joey, Elsa, Davey, and Mayze. A lifelong animal lover, she always loves when patients share photos or stories about their own furry friends.
